Year 2 had an exciting and educational day at Knowsley Safari Park! The children became true animal detectives, asking thoughtful questions, spotting clues, and using their science knowledge to explore the wonders of the animal kingdom.

One of the highlights was the brilliant sea lion show, where pupils discovered just how clever and well-trained these incredible animals are.

During the safari, the children observed lions basking in the sun, tigers patrolling their territory, elegant giraffes nibbling on leaves, and some very cheeky meerkats popping up to say hello. Their behaviour, enthusiasm, and teamwork were exemplary throughout the day.

The trip provided a wealth of learning that will deepen their understanding of our current science unit, and everyone is excited to build on today’s discoveries back in the classroom.
